3D electromagnetic analysis has become a crucial step for RF and microwave circuit design. Compact topologies, high design frequencies, and the increasing complexity of designs means more interactions between three-dimensional microwave components and their environment. Using 3D EM analysis of the entire design, or critical design sub-sections, can mitigate much of the on-the-bench troubleshooting and help designers achieve first-pass design success.
